Curtin University Data Center
In 2007, Curtin University make the decision to upgrade its Data Centre to the latest Category 6A 10 GbE cabling standard, for which Datatel was awarded the contract. The installation was one of the first in Australasia, and has since gone on to become the template for many more installations that Datatel have since been involved in.
The installation, which was featured in the February/March edition the industry Cabling Connection magazine, was completed on time, on budget and with a 100% pass rate. At the time, many of the infrastructure and systems we used were only being used for the first time in Australasia, and since then Datatel have grown to become an industry leader in Data Centres and Computer rooms.
